Current Steeler center Maurkice Pouncey (out for the year currently with two torn ligaments in this right knee) could be asked to testify before a grand jury in the ongoing investigation of the murders charged to Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. This report like many others identifies Pouncey and his twin brother and Dolphin center Mike Pouncey as being subpoenaed (possibly) in this case. Apparently (and forgive us for not following this circus more carefully before) Hernandez faces multiple charges, and not all of them are a part of the same investigation. One has him as a double-murder suspect. The other is whether or not he engaged in weapon-trafficking because you know, making millions of dollars playing a sport everyone loves clearly isn't enough fun. Hernandez, who played at the University of Florida with both Pouncey brothers, was a friend of both men and therefore they have a possible connection as witnesses to various (alleged) shady dealings.
