There’s another free agent on the Titans radar, and it’s a player the team knows real well – center Kevin Mawae. He’s still out there without a team, and the Tennessean today reports that there’s talk about Mawae coming back to the Titans:
When veteran center Kevin Mawae headed into the free agent market last month, most figured his days with the Titans were over but now, the conversation has turned, and it’s about him coming back. Agent Mark Bartelstein talked to Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt about that very subject on Friday. The two have remained in touch since Mawae hit the market on March 5, but have talked more seriously about a return to the Titans of late. “We are working on it,” Bartelstein said. “Mike knows that Kevin would love to be back and we are just trying to work on something that would make sense for everybody. But he knows how Kevin feels about being in Tennessee and being a part of the Titans. We are hoping that something can be worked out.”
