There will be a fresh voice calling Denver Broncos games on 850 KOA this season — former wide receiver Ed McCaffrey will join Dave Logan as a color commentator.  McCaffrey will be replacing former quarterback Brian Griese, who will see an expanded role in ESPN’s college football coverage beginning this season.

Several other Broncos will join McCaffrey in covering the team for KOA this year, press release after the jump.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos and 850 KOA are pleased to announce the addition of Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway, Head Coach John Fox, quarterback Peyton Manning and running back Willis McGahee to 850 KOA’s Broncos coverage this season.

Additionally, 850 KOA has announced that former Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey will handle color commentary for the station’s Broncos play-by-play coverage beginning in 2012. McCaffrey will work with Dave Logan, who is entering his 16th year as the radio play-by-play voice of the Broncos. McCaffrey replaces Brian Griese on the broadcast, as the former Broncos quarterback is taking on an expanded role with ESPN’s coverage of college football this year.

Now in its 43rd season as the flagship station of the Denver Broncos, 850 KOA is heard on over 60 Broncos Radio Network affiliate stations throughout Colorado and the Western U.S during its gameday coverage.

Below is the summary of the Broncos-related programming that will air on 850 KOA during the 2012 season:

Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway will be heard weekly during The Dave Logan Show with highlights of that interview airing during the pregame show.

Head Coach John Fox will be heard weekly during Colorado’s Morning News and The Dave Logan Show as well as during the pregame and postgame shows.

Quarterback Peyton Manning will be heard weekly during The Dave Logan Show in addition to the Broncos Countdown to Kickoff pregame show and Broncos Locker Room postgame show.

Running back Willis McGahee will be heard four times each week: during Colorado’s Morning News, The Dave Logan Show and during both the pregame and postgame shows.
