Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson runs away from Cowboys defenders for an 87-yard gain(Photo Credit: Julian H. Gonzalez/Detroit Free Press) A miraculous sub-minute drive with no timeouts capped off a thrilling 31-30 Detroit Lions victory comparable to the always fantastic sliced bread.  The last time the Lions played a game this exciting they pulled off a historic 24-point comeback against these Cowboys in Jerry World just two years ago. Matthew Stafford is showing us something special.  His game-winning rushing touchdown exemplified ice-cold poise capping off a pressure-packed 80-yard drive.  He now has 10 career 4th quarter comebacks and is on pace for another 5,000 passing yard season.  Stafford’s decision-making is markedly improved pacing for a career-low 12 interceptions, and his QBR is at a career-high 66.2. What else can we say about Calvin Johnson?  He needs to stop getting tackled at the goal-line!  Other than that the guy is outside of this world.  I don’t want to bore with superlatives that cannot fully describe his greatness so I will start and stop with 329 receiving yards.  Enough said. After Sunday’s win the Detroit Lions head to the bye and at no better time.  A week nine bye is arguably the most coveted of them all being at the exact midpoint of the season.  The time will be used to reflect, strategize and most importantly heal. Wide receiver Nate Burleson is aiming for a week 10 return while plenty of other Lions are nursing minor injuries.  The biggest benefit of all will be giving Johnson time to rest his knee and and reach 100 percent.  Maybe then he can stop dilly-dallying and reach 400 receiving yards in a game. Three weeks ago I wrote an article stating that the Lions would go 11-5 even after predicting losses to both the Cincinnati Bengals and Cowboys.  With Sunday’s win I now have the Lions going 12-4.  Sorry I’m not.  If this seems crazy to you let me know via comments or @isportschris on Twitter.  I will be sure to respond to defend my case! Again the Leos remaining games are as followed: WK 10 at Bears WK 11 at Steelers WK 12 vs Buccaneers WK 13 vs Packers (Turkey Day) WK 14 at Eagles WK 15 vs Ravens (MNF) WK 16 vs Giants WK 17 at Vikings
