Purple Jesus Diaries:
This photoshop is easily the best thing I have ever done in my entire life, and I want you to have it for Christmas.
Merry Christmas from Adrian Peterson and Purple Jesus Diaries. I mean, I'm pretty sure Peterson wants you to have a special day today, even if he hasn't explicitly stated as such, but he's such a good dude I know it's true. I DO know that I want you to have a good day though, whether you're celebrating the birth of Purple Jesus or just enjoying the day off with family and doing other stuff since you actually celebrate a different holiday. If that's the case, you better apologize to Purple Jesus though, because he allowed himself to get drafted to the Vikings to forgive your sins. That's how this works.
Either way, enjoy the day. Get off the internet unless you really need to escape the extended family. Thanks for stopping by all the time and keeping me company, cheering on the Vikings, and generally being fantastic internet people. We appreciate it.
As a bonus, here's another Adrian Peterson/Jesus/Purple Jesus related internet picture. Good stuff.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- If Adrian Peterson is able to become the NFL's all-time rushing leader this Sunday, the Vikings' star running back will have to thank the Green Bay Packers for playing such a significant role in his record-breaking season.
Peterson, who ran for 210 yards against the Packers on Dec. 2 at Lambeau Field, will pass Eric Dickerson's 28-year-old record of...
With an article that feels like it was written before the game had kicked off Kelly, a sports columnist for the Toronto Star issued a scathing column with the basic premise that the Vikings were failing this season because they were relying too heavily on Adrian Peterson. The piece fails to take into account where the Vikings would be without Peterson this season (certainly not facing...
If the Vikings beat the Packers, they are in the playoffs, but they will be attempting to win with star running back Adrian Peterson dealing with sore abdominal muscles.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Adrian Peterson's spot in the Pro Bowl was never in doubt, just another footnote in his remarkable recovery from knee surgery. Wednesday, three of Peterson's teammates discovered they would be joining him.
The NFL announced the initial rosters for the Pro Bowl to be played in Honolulu on Jan. 17, 2013 and the Minnesota Vikings had four players selected...
The Vikings didn’t get a massive performance from Adrian Peterson, but they did get a big upset on the road to stay in the playoff hunt.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings went back to work Wednesday, preparing for Sunday's win-and-in playoff scenario against the Green Bay Packers in the regular-season finale, but were without running back Adrian Peterson, defensive end Jared Allen and cornerback Antoine Winfield.
Peterson, who is 102 yards away from being just the seventh player in NFL history to rush...
One major single-season NFL record fell this weekend, and two others remain on watch as the season heads toward the final week. Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin "Megatron" Johnson began the NFL weekend Saturday night by catching 11 passes for 225 yards against the Atlanta Falcons. He increased his total to 1,892 receiving yards on the season, besting the mark of former...
Sensational comebacks have Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson headed for the Pro Bowl.
Also selected Wednesday to the NFL's all-star game was Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Manning missed all of the 2011 season with neck and back problems that required several operations. He then signed with Denver as a free agent and has led the Broncos on a 10-game winning...
The Vikings moved up two spots, to 12th, in the latest AP Pro32 power rankings, and the national media are starting to see more than just Adrian Peterson as assets on the team.
The Vikings didn’t get a 100-yard game from Adrian Peterson, but they still easily won the ground game thanks to an impressive defensive effort and Christian Ponder’s timely rushes. Plus, more than a dozen notes that tell the tale of the Vikings’ 23-6 win.
WIN AND IN!
Never in a million years. Never would I have thought that, this year, the Minnesota Vikings would be sitting at 9-6 on the year, guaranteed a winning record for the season (WHAT?!), in a position to play a meaningful game to get them into the playoffs in their last game of the season against their rival the Green Bay Packers, and that they would beat the Houston Texans...
A couple days ago I wrote a spot addressing the five most important players to keep an eye on this Sunday: Peterson, Romo, Roethlisberger, the Giants d-line, and Russell Wilson. Here’s how it all played out.
Adrian Peterson may not have set the rushing record, but he did do a lot of damage and took all the defensive attention, allowing Christian Ponder to have his first effective...
The Minnesota Vikings strengthened their once slim playoff chances with Sunday's 23-6 win on the road against the Houston Texans, one of the top teams in the AFC.
The win, after Minnesota's earlier struggles on the road this season, was unlikely, but dominating. The Vikings proved worthy of their playoff status with their most impressive win since 2009. Here's how they...
