The Miami Dolphins took the stage Friday night as they played the Jacksonville Jaguars for their second pre-season game. The Dolphins managed to put up twenty-seven points as the team went on to win the game 27-3. The Dolphins had 161 passing yards along with 106 rushing yards combining for 267 total yards. They converted 19 total first downs, and only had three penalties for forty-five yards.    Ryan Tannehill completed five passes for 75 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to Dustin Keller in the first quarter. Backup quarterback Matt Moore completed five passes for 58 yards, and one interception. Third stringer Pat Delvin also had five passes for 45 yards,Tannehill and Keller seemed in synch with each other, as they connected twice on their only scoring drive. Keller will be one of Tannehill’s major targets this year, so it’s great to see the chemistry that they are developing. One player that Tannehill needs to continue developing with is Mike Wallace. made his debut in a Dolphins uniform, after missing the first game due to injury. During his limited time on the field, Wallace ended the game with the same amount of catches that he started with: zero. However, this should be no major concern to any fans.    This is still, pre-season, and he will have a lot more passes thrown his way once the regular season begins. The rushing offense was led by Mike Gillislee with 37 yards, followed by Jonas Gray with 32. These two are in battle for one of the last roster spots for the running back position. Each had at least twelve attempts to showcase their talent to the coaches and staff. In this game, Gray had a better showing. While he had less yards than Gillislee, he reached the end zone twice. Daniel Thomas carried the ball four times for 19 yards. Thomas is running with a chip on his shoulder, since the Dolphins decided to make Lamar Miller the starter instead of him. Thomas has been the second string since he was drafted in 2011. The way the Dolphins are splitting the loads between Miller and Thomas in the pre-season is just a sneak peek of what is to come during the regular season. Since Miller is a speedy back, the Dolphins will use him their edge back, while Thomas will be their smash-mouth power back.    The first string offensive faced no problems driving down the field during the first quarter. Mind you, they were playing against the Jaguars. However, with the new weapons that Tannehill has with along with two solid running backs and an experienced offensive line, as a Dolphins fan you can’t help but feel excited.
