When cover32 released its list of the top 10 running backs in the NFL today, there were plenty of people angry about their favorite team’s workhorse not making the list. It made for a spirited debate in the “Comments” section below the article. The second batch of RBs, Nos. 11-20, generated a similar response. The next logical step in the ranking of the game’s running backs is to unveil Nos. 21-30. These are the players who either aren’t quite ready to be featured backs or haven’t gotten the opportunity to show what they can do on an every-down basis. Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno Could Miss The Preseason

According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Dolphins free agent acquisition RB Knowshon Moreno still “labors to walk,” despite the fact that he’s six weeks into what was expected to be a four-to-five month recovery from offseason knee surgery. Moreno was reportedly sporting ice packs on both of his knees Friday and it appears as though he may not play in even a single...

Plenty of room for improvement on the Dolphins O line

The offensive line is the central hub of safety and protection for the offensive unit.  It is known as the group that keeps to itself.  In order for it to be successful it is a necessity that it becomes one cohesive unit.  This is the unit that has troubled the Miami Dolphins for more than a decade   Last season it exploded both on and off the field.  First on the field, where...

Miami Dolphins’ Cameron Wake named top-5 underrated player in the NFL

Last week, I provided my annual list of the 10 most overrated players in the NFL. As expected, it caused an uproar, mostly from people who can’t take off their team-colored glasses and deal with the truth. For a good time, read the “Comments” section below the article; it’s pure gold and classic examples of denial. In the spirit of showing that it’s not all negative on...

Dolphins' Miller has skills to suit new offense nicely

DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami running back Lamar Miller plans to maximize his speed and quickness in the new offense the Dolphins are implementing. With veteran free agent Knowshon Moreno unable to participate in camp due to a knee injury, the starting job right now is Miller's to lose. The Dolphins conducted their sixth practice of training camp Thursday and so far Miller has made a...

Miami Dolphins: Mike Wallace Tweaks Hamstring; Out One Week

If the Miami Dolphins want to dethrone the Patriots as AFC East champions this year, the Ryan Tannehill-Mike Wallace connection has to be on point. After a rocky first season together, the two appear to be making progress this offseason to get on the same page, but any Fins fan hoping to see the connection this weekend is going to have to wait until at least the second week of preseason...

Dolphins Sign TE Raymond Webber, Place TE Brett Brackett On Waivers

The Miami Dolphins signed TE Raymond Webber to a contract Thursday, according to the NFL’s transaction release. Miami also placed TE Brett Brackett on waivers in order to make room for Webber. Webber, 25, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas Pine Bluff back in 2011. He has since played for the Seahawks, Jets and Packers, but has yet...

Jacob’s QB Countdown: 16. Ryan Tannehill

Steve Mitchell – USA SPORTS Today The quarterback that is smack in the middle of my countdown is a member of the yellow tier, reserved for solid starters that typically are loaded with potential. This QB almost led his team to a playoff berth last season despite having the worst offensive line in the league and getting sacked a whopping 58 times. This QB played pretty well last...

Miami Dolphins defense not ranked top-20 in NFL…

… In fantasy that is, but maybe in real life as well. With training camps underway, the NFL season is right around the corner. And that can only mean one thing: Fantasy football drafts are about to start happening. In order to get a jump on the competition, it’s never to early to start putting together a draft board. To help the cause, cover32 will be ranking each position, with...

Outside looking in: Miami Dolphins don’t have WR ranked top-30 in NFL

When cover32 released its list of the top 10 wide receivers in the NFL today, there were plenty of people angry about their favorite team’s pass catcher not making the list. It made for a spirited debate in the “Comments” section below the article. The second batch of WRs, Nos. 11-20, generated a similar response. The next logical step in the ranking of the game’s wide...

Mike Wallace to Miss Time With Hamstring Injury

First it was the injury to center Mike Pouncey that put the Dolphins offensive line in a bit of a jam. Then it was free agent Knowshon Moreno who had to have knee surgery, which has allowed Lamar Miller to grab the starting position. Now, Football Nation has learned that wide receiver Mike Wallace will be on the sidelines for at least a week with a hamstring injury.Wallace missed...

Alone on Dolphins' roster, Sturgis' job isn't secure

BY SEAN DONOVANUsually, ranking 29th in field goal percentage earns a NFL kicker competition in the following training camp. That doesn't appear to be the case for the Miami Dolphins' Caleb Sturgis, who hit just 76.5-percent of his kicks last year but is the only rostered kicker in camp. "Appear" being the key word there. That lack of side-by-side competition doesn...

Dolphins’ Knowshon Moreno still recovering from knee issues

With barely a month left until the regular-season opener, the Dolphins’ most accomplished running back sometimes still labors to walk, let alone run. Ice packs clung to both of Knowshon Moreno’s knees, and he had an awkward gait as he made his way to the field to watch the end of Friday’s training camp practice. In late June, Moreno underwent arthroscopic surgery to clean...

2014 Fantasy Football: 3 Miami Dolphins to Avoid

1. WR Brian HartlineHartline has been the fortunate recipient of many targets over the past few years, largely based on the Dolphins lack of depth at the receiver position. That’s not to say Hartline isn’t talented, he is, but he’s a true possession receiver with little in the way of touchdown or big play production (only ten TDs in 76 career games). With Mike Wallace entering...
