Who should I start this week T?
Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner made a surprise appearance at Martin Luther King JR elementary school in College Park, Georgia yesterday. He gifted the entire school with subscriptions to ClickN Kids which is an internet based educational tool that helps kids learn to read. This was the first of many surprise appearances. After a roaring welcome, the kids listened to Michael while he stressed the importance of getting an education and told the kids the real stars are their teachers. Props to Burner Turner on giving back to his community. -TO

Through the first two weeks of the season, I was astounded by the amount of nickel defense the Falcons played. Their base defense which featured all three linebackers was only used on about a dozen plays out of about 150 combined plays. While it seemed to be paying dividends with their successful pass defense, it seemed detrimental against the run. Through two weeks the Falcons pass...
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. Its as if Michael Turner started the 2012 season under new offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter by dipping his toe in the water to check the temperature to see how it suited him.
Thirty-two yards in the first game followed 42 in the second for the player who led the NFC in rushing last season. But over the last two games, Turner has gotten the Falcons running...
Matt Ryan keeps shrugging off any suggestion that he's trying to make up for his playoff failures.
Whatever the case, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback has taken his game to a new level.
A quarter of the way into the season, Ryan is the NFL's top-rated passer and a big reason the Falcons (4-0) have matched the best start in franchise history.
True to his nature, Ryan dismisses...
Last week: 2 (+0)
Well, it wasn’t pretty, but the Falcons got their 4th win to become the NFL’s 3rd 4-0 team this season. Arizona is think is a complete fluke, but both Houston and Atlanta are for real and it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see these two teams in the Super Bowl. Houston has the edge right now because none of their games have been really close. Plus...
Week five in the NFL has a lot of interesting match-ups along with a couple of games where betting on the underdog may pay off well. Online poker room and betting site WilliamHill has released lines on this weekend’s games and the following are two of the best games to place underdog bets on.
The undefeated Atlanta Falcons are 2.5 point favorites this weekend as they head into...
While Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan completed 25 passes
for 369 yards, wide receiver Julio Jones had only one catch for 30 yards Sunday
against the Carolina Panthers. The team had an explanation for the receiver’s disappointing
output, as offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter told reporters, including Dan Hanzus
of NFL.com, that Jones is dealing with the effects of...
Via Shutdown Corner, we get video of Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud pulling off an impressive Cat Game rendition from Super Troopers, with 14 “meows” during an interview on ESPN. We can only assume that Dunta Robinson was standing nearby as the interview was taking place, keeping count, and informing DeCoud that he needed one more [...]
It might seem a little early to start talking about possible MVP's after only four games, but it is still fun to speculate. After the first four games of the season, Matt Ryan has led the Falcons to its first 4-0 start since the 1980's. He is also the league leader in quarterback rating at an astounding 112.1. He is second in the league with 11 touchdowns, trailing only...
There was a report that the hand of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones affected his play last week against the Panthers.
Jones told AtlantaFalcons.com that there’s nothing holding him back and his hand is just fine after suffering a laceration during their week 3 win over the Chargers.
“Oh, yeah. I’m fine,” Jones said. “I’m ready to go.”
The Atlanta Falcons escaped with a comeback victory over the Carolina Panthers and stayed undefeated at 4-0.The Falcons' offense has been on a roll all season long and facing a porous defense that offense won't slow down this week. The Washington Redskins are coming in at 2-2 and have only committed two turnovers through the first two weeks. The two turnovers are a shocking...
The Redskins will host the Falcons at 1:00 PM on Sunday and look to hand Atlanta their first loss on the season. Redskins Nation knows that the key match-up of this game is going to be Matt Ryan and the explosive Falcon offense vs. the Redskins defense, and in particular the secondary.
There is little doubt that Atlanta is going to put points on the board so more than likely,...
Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan is delivering on his potential this season.
I’m still reeling from the amazing finish to the Falcons/Panthers game on Sunday. With mere seconds left and all the way at their own 2 yard line, the Falcons, or shall I say Matt Ryan and Roddy White with a little help from Matt Bryant’s leg, pulled off the kind of thing that makes last year’s non...

Outside of Philadelphia-Pittsburgh, this is your game of the week with all of the explosive playmakers littered all over the field in this electric matchup.
Robert Griffin III has proven to be a star through four games, but he has a long ways to go if he expects to challenge for a playoff spot.
The Redskins have yet to play a divisional...
Captain Comeback Scott Kacsmar says the Atlanta Falcons did something no team has done since at least 1981. Also: an Aaron Rodgers comeback, New England's rout, and the Cardiac Cardinals/Eagles strike again.
Even former Falcons are getting arrested now. AJC.com reports that former Atlanta Falcons DB Ray Buchanan was arrested Sunday Night for DUI and Speeding. An officer observed Buchanan weaving in and out of traffic without using a turn signal while going 95 MPH at 3am. After the officer put on his police lights signaling for Buchanan to pull over, he drove another quarter mile while...
