With Cardinal QB Coach Mike Groh heading to Alabama to take the wide receivers coaching job and recruiting coordinator position, I’m a little curious to see if Coach Strong takes a look at former Cardinal QB Dave Ragone. During his career at Louisville, he went 27-11 as a starter, including an 11-1 mark in 2001. Ragone finished his collegiate career as Louisville’s second all time leading passer. He was a three-time All-American Honorable Mention and three-time Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year. Ragone is currently the Quarterbacks coach for the Hartford Colonials of the UFL. Dave wouldn’t be a big name hire, but I think a lot of Cardinal fans would love to see him join this staff. I played in a basketball league with Dave a few years ago and I know first hand how much he really loves this Louisville program.
