Down and Distance:
As everyone expected, Robert Griffin III has been named the starter, but did everyone expect this so soon? We are just a week into May, and Head coach Mike Shanahan has named RG3 the starter.
In my eyes, with a new guy you can’t name him a starter so early in the season, he should have to earn it just like everyone else. I mean seriously training camp hasn’t even started. One thing Shanahan is doing is sending a bad message to the rest of his team, he is claiming that it doesn’t matter what you have done in the NFL, he is basing his starters off of their college career. That doesn’t seem to smart.
Robert Griffin III
Would RG3 become the started anyway? Yes, more than likely, but that’s not the point. Don’t be surprised if RG3 starts off slower than Andrew Luck or for that matter anyone else. As a coach you should always keep the players guessing, more I think of this, could it be a stunt to please the fans. Remember that Shanahan has yet to have to be successful with a quarterback since John Elway, and he believes that with RG3 he could not only save Washington, but Mike Shanahan.
I truly believe Robert Griffin III, will be a great quarterback in this league, but make him work for it, don’t give him the job before camp even starts; come on man!

Can the Dallas Cowboys make the playoffs in 2012? Historically the NFC East has been one of the toughest divisions in the NFL and that tendency should again hold true in the upcoming season. Last season, the New York Giants won the NFC East with a 9-7 record on the last week of the regular season
