Rachel Nichols of ESPN broke news that current New York Giants quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan will interview with the Buccaneers. Given the lack of strong candidates the Bucs are left with, Sullivan poses an interesting opportunity. Sullivan has coached Eli Manning for the last two seasons, which coincides with Manning’s increased performance levels. Manning set records in 2010 (Sullivan’s) first year as QB coach. Manning set franchise records in completion percentage (62.9) and completions (339) in that season. This year saw Manning break the completions record with 359 while only dropping to a 61.0 completion percentage. Manning’s quarterback rating also jumped from 85 to 92 this season and threw for 931 more yards total. Before coaching Manning, Sullivan was the wide receivers coach for 6 seasons with the Giants.
