Retiring New York Jets special-teams coordinator Mike Westhoff called the situation with quarterback Tim Tebow a nightmare. "It was a mess, it was an absolute mess," Westhoff told WQAM radio in Miami. "You can say whatever else you want, it was really a mess. I was very, very disappointed. "As an NFL quarterback, he's very limited in some things. And if you throw him right in the middle of a drop-back passing offense, he will look very, very average at best. But if you incorporate him in different facets of your offense, I think he can be a factor. That's what I felt we were going to do, but we never did it." Westhoff said he expected Tebow to play some at tailback this past season, but it never came about. "That was very disappointing," he said. "To be honest, I don't think anyone's really ever answered that question. Why didn't we do it? I honestly don't know. I know we didn't practice it." The controversy swirling around Tebow's playing time throughout the season didn't help the Jets' situation. "It was a distraction and a shame," Westhoff said, "because that was a hard-working young man." Westhoff said Tebow played on special teams before he suffered a rib injury more than anticipated. "My role with him was really only to be like one percent," he said. "That's all I was thinking. Then when Eric Smith got hurt, I had to use him full time. I didn't have anyone." Source: Sun Sentinel

Jaguars general manager should learn league rules, Tim Tebow

The Jacksonville Jaguars hired David Caldwell as the team’s general manager in recent days, and he took little time to fire head coach Mike Malarkey. Perhaps Mr.Caldwell should pay attention to some league rules before speaking about players that are under contract with other teams. Tim Tebow has been rumored to be on the radar of the Jacksonville Jaguars, but coaches are not allowed...

Top 5 Things Tim Tebow Can Do With His Football Career

After coming off of a Cinderella-season with the Denver Broncos in 2011, Tim Tebow‘s 2012 campaign turned out to be just the opposite with the New York Jets. Tim Tebow’s Brother Shows Off His Christian Faith After Peyton Manning’s Loss

His brother can’t start for the New York Jets, yet Peter Tebow found time to relish the troubles of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. I’m not big on the Bible and His teachings, but isn’t the above tweet unbecoming of a good Christian man? (Peter got a preaching gig in suburban Denver because of his last name.) Oh, I get it, Tim Tebow was 1-0 in the playoffs for the Broncos...

It's amazing how fast can things change and if you're a Jets fan, you know what I'm talking about.
