Mizzou and Texas A&M Get Hazed, Hugh Freeze May Need a Hug Today, and Other Initial Observations of the 2012 SEC Football Schedule

The SEC Schedule was released this morning after much anticipation.  There are two new members and that means new match-ups, games in new exotic locales like Columbia and College Station, and just a whole lot of schedule reshufflin’.  A few initial thoughts: Mizzou and Texas A&M, assuming the position in Year One Mizzou and Texas A&M get inducted into the league with just the proper amount of hazing…just enough early morning work parties and Greek alphabet recitation to get the point across but not so much sleep deprivation and light paddling that the pledges up and quit on you.  Mizzou sees a full East schedule that includes trips to “the other” Columbia, Gainesville, and Knoxville, as well as a mid-season visit from Alabama.  A&M will get a nice tour of the West including substantial time to be spent in the great state of Alabama as well as a fancy soiree in the Grove for their troubles.  They also get Florida at home as a nice “welcome ...
