Christmas came early No, that wasn’t a typo in the paper, or some sort of glitch on your TV screen Sunday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks actually won a game on the road against a good Bears team. It all seemed to fall into place after that non-call when Doug Baldwin pushed off to make the catch to extend the drive in overtime. Just like the Packers game, I don’t care if it’s pretty or not, or even legal or not, a win is a win, and we are back in the Wild Card hunt. With that, I give you my top 10!  10: Rookie of the year? This will not be the last time you hear this in the remaining month of the season. Who is Russell Wilson’s competition? RGIII? Yeah he can run, but if Wilson gets the Seahawks into the playoffs, I believe it will be all his. Especially after the game he had on Sunday in Chicago. 9: Winning at a price It was a scary moment when Sidney Rice went limp after crossing the plane of the end zone for the winning TD. He took a knee to the head, dropped the ball, and just fell. When he was being congratulated upon, you could really see there was something wrong with the kid, but thank God he was able to walk off the field. Too many injuries have already plagued his career thus far. 8: Marshawn gets back in the zone It wasn’t a 100 yard rushing performance, but I’ll take it. Anytime the Hawks can get a TD on the ground it’s a good thing, and Marshawn Lynch started the day off right with his four yard run. 7: The wind beneath the Bears For the third time in as many years, the Seahawks have come into Chicago and took a victory back home with them. This year might have been the biggest yet though, as it proves that we are on the right path towards having a contender in Seattle with Russell Wilson under center. The Golden Child giving the Hawks the lead (Photo: seahawks.com) 6: The defense rests, (again) For the third time in three straight away games, the defense has allowed a scoring drive within the last minute of game play. But, luckily this one was just to tie the game and put it into overtime, but still, our once proud defense is now the cause for most of our headaches. 5: See ya Braylon After beating out future hall of famer Terrell Owens back in the pre-season, Braylon Edwards has been quite a disappointment for the Seahawks. And, on Tuesday, the Seahawks decided to formally cut ties with the wide receiver. 4: Carpenter down Also on Tuesday, the Seahawks placed LG James Carpenter on the season ending non-football illness list. 3: Golden boy I couldn’t do a list without putting my favorite Seahawk on it. Golden Tate was the man who had the first game winning TD on the day for the Seahawks. But if that one stood, we would never have been able to see what kind of cojones Russell Wilson had in the overtime period. 2: Are you kidding me? Speaking of scoring drives, Wilson lead two 80+ yard TD drives in the 4th quarter and in the overtime period to lead this team to a much needed victory. On the road made it that much more sweet, especially against a team we could face off against in the playoffs. This kid just continues to amaze me week in and week out. 1: The play of the week Here is the play that sent the whole state of Washington into a frenzy on Sunday.
