1. Buccaneers101.com has no problem with how head coach Greg Schiano handled the end of the game with the Giants on Sunday. Everyone is making a big deal about the Bucs going after Eli Manning and trying to strip the ball when he was attempting to kneel down in the victory formation, but we think what Schiano ordered his players to do was smart. It shows that this is not a team that going to bow down to anyone, including the defending Super Bowl Champs. It may be an unwritten rule, but it was not illegal to try and force a fumble on that play. Schiano had success doing that while at Rutgers and he was just trying to give his team one last chance at tying the game. You play to that final whistle and that is exactly what Schiano told his team to do on Sunday. Good job. 2. People are roasting the secondary after giving up 510 passing yards to Manning, and rightfully so, but let’s not forget that they had no help from the defensive line. After dominating last week against Carolina, defe...

Eli Manning: “I guess certain teams you might say ‘hey watch out for a cheap shot’

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin was furious at Tampa Bay’s Greg Schiano on a cheap shot at trying to get the ball back during a kneel down in last Sunday’s match up. Tampa went low on the Giants offensive linemen in an attempt to put a hit on quarterback Eli Manning. In NFL circles, there is a code for conduct. You don’t smack the back of a losing coach in celebration...

Eli Manning’s rally against the Bucs his best ever?

Eli Manning has accomplished a lot the last few seasons. In winning two Super Bowls — two super bowl MVP’s — and becoming one of the best late-game quarterbacks ever, there’s few things that the 31-year-old quarterback has yet to do. Over the last two seasons, Manning has led 11 game-winning drives for the New York Giants, the only team he has ever played for since he was...

Eli Manning Claims He Told Buccaneers He Was Taking a Knee Prior to Controversial Play

Pretty much everyone watching at home knew Eli Manning was planning to take a knee on the final play of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. According to Manning, he informed the Bucs personally that a game-ending knee was in the cards. Manning joined WFAN in New York with Mike Francesa, and he discussed the controversial ending to Sunday's game, in which Tampa Bay's...

“Tebowing” Isn’t the Only Quarterback Phenomenon

Total Eli Manning shinefest right here! I wouldn’t have went with Eli’s “Durh” face. Of the five QB phenomenons we know about I’d have to say “Griffin’ing” may be my new favorite. Guy is a stud. Thanks to TerezOwens for the picture.

Buccaneer’s Greg Schiano off to an uneasy start

Despite upsetting my Carolina Panthers in week one and nearly taking down Eli Manning’s Giants in week 2, Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s head Coach Greg Schiano has drawn the ire of many fans and sports reporters a like. After blowing a 14 point halftime lead, Buc’s QB Josh Freeman threw an interception late in the fourth quarter that sealed the Giants come back. Eli Manning came to...

New York Giants: Giants Recover with 41-34 Win Over Buccaneers

The New York Giants played two games in one against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at MetLife Stadium. In the 1st half, the Giants couldn’t get on track as Tampa Bay dominated them to a 24-13 halftime lead. In the second half, it seemed the Giants got a wake up call and outscored the Buccaneers 28-10 (25 points in the 4th quarter). Eli Manning played the role of goat and hero as he put...

Jerry Jones wants kneel-down play eliminated

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke out against the kneel-down play to end games during a radio interview on Tuesday. The topic was brought up in response to the controversy that took place at the end of the Giants-Buccaneers game. Panthers CB Norman expects Giants will target him

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Carolina cornerback Josh Norman expects he'll have Eli Manning's full attention Thursday night. He said Manning probably won't be able to resist testing out an inexperienced rookie trying to cover Hakeem Nicks or Victor Cruz. "I expect I'll have a target on my back, but I'm ready," Norman said. "I understand I'm in...
