A teenage football fan suffered a concussion and a broken arm and nose at Candlestick Park after police say he was attacked during the San Francisco 49ers 27-7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts this weekend.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported (http://bit.ly/1fezVHs ) that a 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of beating the 15-year-old boy for urinating in the man's car.
Reports of other assaults at the game were also logged with stadium security.
49ers' season ticket holder Daisy Barringer said she was kicked and punched by another 49ers fan.
The 36-year-old said she has seen violence at both home games this year, and during the preseason.
Security was increased at the stadium two years ago after two shootings, a beating and fights broke out during a preseason game with the Oakland Raiders.

After dropping their Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Indianapolis, it was understandable that there were those who were not yet convinced that the Colts could be a legitimate threat in 2013. As always, the first few weeks of the NFL regular season can often be very
Not only did San Francisco 49ers fans get beat up on the field by the Indianpolis Colts, but they also took some blows in the stands as well. A raucous bunch of fans brawled so hard that they tumbled down several rows. The girl in the Reggie Wayne jersey even gets some shots in. Oh that’s a guy? By his weak punches I just assumed it was a frail girl. He might want to hit the heavy...
Last week: 25 (+7)
I was shocked that not only did the Colts beat the 49ers, but they beat them handily in San Francisco. Previously in the Andrew Luck era, they were sweating out close wins against bad teams and getting blown out by good teams, especially on the road. Unless the 49ers are significantly worse than we expect them to be, the Colts just blew out a good team on the road...
What was homeboy in the Reggie Wayne jersey doing?
The poor female gets clocked about 5 times with straight right hands. It is always dangerous to attend a 49ers game, there always seems to be some sort of fight.
The Big Lead provides the video, no one screamed out WORLD STAR!!!
Colts punter Pat McAfee interviews Indy Star writers Bob Kravitz and Mike Chappell
Newspaper guys doing television? What a concept!
That was my initial reaction anyway, to the Indy Star’s introduction of the Pat McAfee Show. The online sports broadcast, hosted by Colts punter and social media star Pat McAfee, launched just prior to the start of the Colts season.
I attended my first...
The recent history of fan mayhem at Candlestick Park was well in evidence during Sunday’s Colts win over the 49ers. There were brawls aplenty, resulting in people hospitalized. But we’re mostly focusing on the feather punches thrown by the Colts fan in the Reggie Wayne jersey in this video. If you are gonna join the ruckus, don’t bring that weak sh*t.
The league is known as pass happy, but the truth is that you do need some sort of a running game to open it up for your passing offense. Just ask the Detroit Lions. They are a good example of this recently. The addition of Reggie Bush and the emergence of Joique Bell has really opened up their passing offense. The Colts are trying to do the same thing. Although the Colts ended up...
(Eds: APNewsNow. With AP Photos.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer The Colts finally delivered a dominant defensive performance.
Now, they've got to show that they can do it week after week.
Their next test comes Sunday against winless Jacksonville, whose offense is averaging 230.3 yards per game, 2.3 yards per carry and one touchdown pass. All are league lows.
Evidently the Richardson signing provided some kind of spark or maybe things just decided to come together in Week 3. The Colts looked great in their big win over the 49ers on Sunday. I’ll admit, I was expecting the score to be more or less the opposite of the 27-7 win in our favor. The win was a happy surprise and a happy look at the potential new identity of this team. A hard...
Trent Richardson practiced all of twice with his new team before helping lead Indianapolis to what Colts coach Chuck Pagano already considers a signature win.
Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw gave Andrew Luck quite the 1-2 punch in the running game, each rushing for a 1-yard touchdown for the Colts in an emphatic 27-7 victory on the San Francisco 49ers' home field Sunday.
(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer Chuck Pagano pushed back when others questioned whether the Colts could make physical football work.
There is little doubt now.
One day after beating San Francisco at its own game, and on its home turf, Pagano called it the ''most complete'' game the Colts (2-1) have played since...
After a great win against the Niners in Week 3 the Colts are making their way down to Jacksonville to take on a terrible Jaguars team. I mean terrible. These guys are averaging a league worst 9.3 points per game. Not good. That said, anything can happen. I’m hoping the Colts keep riding high and take it to the Jags with a good ole fashioned stompin’. The Jags run defense is bad...
Perhaps viewed as a pass-first team last season, the Indianapolis Colts might be on their way to transitioning to a wholly different approach in 2013.
A power run game and dominant play up front lifted the Colts to an impressive victory last week, and that could prove to be a winning formula again Sunday against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.
Indianapolis (2-1) acquired running...
Here’s a prediction you may not get from many other media members - the Jacksonville Jaguars will win a football game.It will come next week when the team travels to St. Louis. While the idea of knocking off a very hot Indianapolis Colts team is highly unlikely, the Rams present a better chance for this team to get in the win column. It still won’t be easy. The sum of all of Jacksonville’s...
By Jeff Heck, Bears Claws contributor Disclaimer: “He who gambles, lives in shambles.” Week three is over and the Old Man lost a little traction as he only went 10-6. I’m guessing I’m not alone. Seriously, who saw the Browns winning at Minnesota? The Colts over the 49ers? Trent Richardson being traded to the Colts? The Bengals win over the [...]
