Every year, a few teams do and say things that make us scratch our heads and wonder who exactly makes decisions for those organizations. This year is no different, and as usual, we have a great list of dysfunctional teams trying to win games in the NFL. New York Giants The Giants are a laughable team. Basically, a once great team has aged into oblivion, and now the Giants appear to be a shadow of their former selves. This week, safety Antrel Rolle gave us our best nugget of denial by a Giants player, saying via NFL.com, “I believe we can go 12-0 from this point on. And I truly believe that and I'm not (just) saying that. And people may look at me like I'm crazy, but you know, I couldn't really give a damn at this point.” Jacksonville Jaguars At 0-4, it’s obvious the Jaguars are a bad football team, but upon inspecting their offensive production, it becomes obvious just how terrible this team is. The Jaguars have scored just 31 points in four games, and they’ve given up 129 points in that same span. The kicker is the Jaguars’ attitude. In last weekend’s game against the Colts, the Jaguars were described as the most positive 0-3 team the broadcaster had ever seen. From the sound of it, the Jags are lacking any sense of urgency, and that doesn’t bode well for this team. Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Giants and the Jaguars are terrible teams that appear to be in denial of their own fate. The Buccaneers, however, are this year’s circus, taking the place of the New York Jets on this list. The Buccaneers’ dysfunction stems from their quarterback drama, which in turn is centered around Josh Freeman. Most recently, it was “leaked” that the Bucs’ former starting quarterback is in stage one of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. That “leak” is rumored to have come from head coach Greg Schiano, making the Bucs the pettiest team in the NFL, and earning them the title of “Most Dysfunctional NFL Team of 2013.” [follow]
