From Larry Brown Sports:

It seems like everyone in Baltimore is catching Ravens fever. Two weeks ago, a group of Ravens fans created a “Call me Maybe” parody song before the team’s AFC Championship Game at the New England Patriots. This week, it’s the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra getting in on the act.

Musicians and friends of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra created a “Hail to the Ravens!” song that was uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday. The title of the song seems to be modeled after the Washington Redskins’ “Hail to the Redskins” fight song.

The passion of the performers is evident. They’re all wearing purple, and singer Mark McGrath is sporting an Ed Reed jersey. The song mentions numerous Ravens players by number or nickname, and it closes by predicting a “win for Baltimore!”

You can read the full song lyrics below, courtesy of the BSO Music YouTube page:

Ravens fans all over Baltimore,
Have just a single goal:
To win the Superbowl.
We’ll watch them proudly,
We’ll cheer them loudly,
And our loyal orchestra will cheer loudest of all!

Everyone in San Francisco too
Would surely sell their soul
To win the Superbowl.
Two teams are gonna play,
One team goes all the way.
Sunday night we’ll see who’s going to rise, who’s going to fall!

All of us here at the Symphony
Expect to see our team bring home the victory.
Here’s to Q and number 52!
Ellerbe and Torrey Smith,
Joe Flacco, T. Sizzle, Haloti,
And Yanda!

Hail to the Ravens, hear the city roar,
Go Baltimore, go Baltimore!
When Ray Rice goes running with the ball, You can’t stop him at all!
The team we’re rooting for
Is bound to score
A win for Baltimore.

2ND CHORUS:

Hail to the Ravens, raise your glasses high,
Purple and black, We’ve got their back.
Reed and Pollard will be ready to attack,
Kruger will go for the sack.
The team we’re rooting for
Is bound to score
A win for Baltimore!

  • Cheer the Steelers, the Black & the Gold! The town of Pittsburgh's heart & soul! We've had our song since 1994.
  • The Ravens need to be a little more original and not copy the Redskins I will be SOOO glad when this super bowl is over since there seems to be only one team play, funny I thought it took 2 teams to make a game, GO San Fran !!!!!!!
  • Talk about bandwagon. Where was this song in the regular season or even the wild card round? Ray Lewis is a stone cold killer.

Check out Ray Lewis’ gold-colored Super Bowl cleats (Photos)

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will retire in style with these gold-colored cleats that he’ll wear against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. Under Armour’s FW13 cleats tell much of Lewis’ story. Lewis' kicks have “Psalms 91” on the toe — just like the T-shirt he wore under his pads during his final home game on Jan. 6.

Ravens change practice venue

Unhappy with the hard artificial turf at Tulane University's baseball field, the Baltimore Ravens will hold their main practice Thursday at the Saints' facility instead. The San Francisco 49ers, their opponent in Sunday's Super Bowl, already are training at the Saints' complex in nearby Metairie. Because Tulane has broken ground on a new football stadium, the AFC...

Ravens may "very well" release WR Anquan Boldin

The Baltimore Ravens may be playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday, but there has been repeated talks of their offseason plans. Between signing Joe Flacco, and/or letting Ed Reed walk, the Ravens apparently have other plans; this time at the wide receiver position. On NFL Live today, Adam Schefter said that the team may "very well" choose to release Anquan Boldin. LarryBrownSports...

Baltimore Ravens Path To The Super Bowl: Top 5 Regular Season Moments

The Super Bowl is rarely a match-up of two teams that cruise their way into the championship game. Only once since 1993 have the top seeds from either conference made it to the Super Bowl. The fact of the matter is that once you get in to the playoffs, anything is possible. So if that is the case, then the real goal is to simply make it in to the playoffs and then fight, claw, and...

The Baltimore Ravens Road to the Super Bowl

After the dust had settled on the Baltimore Ravens shattering end to the 2011 season, there was plenty of reason to be confident that they could go one better in 2012. If not for a few unlucky breaks and poor execution, they would have been facing the Giants in Indianapolis so it was not farfetched to think the team was not far off a championship appearance. Instead of going out...

Serious internal conflict: the Ravens are going to win, should I bet them?

So, I have a serious internal debate going on right now. The Ravens minus 4 is straight up stealing. Like, there is absolutely no way I see SF winning this game. If they do, it's gonna be on a last second field goal where they don't cover. To be honest, I see something like 28-17 Ravens (yes, I am also thinking about the under of 47.5, but not completely confident on that...

Top 10 Oldest First-Time Super Bowl Players

Baltimore Ravens 15-year veteran center Matt Birk is making his Super Bowl debut. At 36, he is one of the oldest Super Bowl rookies, and he came to the NFL in the same Minnesota Vikings draft class as current San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss. I think is interesting to make a list of the Top 10 senior players who made their first (and for many only) Super Bowl appearance...

Ed Reed rips media, says he’s unlikely to land in New England

When news broke earlier this week that Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed could see himself playing for Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, many took it and ran with it. Ravens-49ers Preview

Preparing their respective teams for Super Bowl XLVII might be easier for John and Jim Harbaugh than having to downplay the distraction of becoming the first brothers to coach against one another on the NFL's biggest stage. With each focused on trying to take home the Lombardi Trophy, Jim's San Francisco 49ers look for a record-tying sixth Super Bowl title Sunday in New...
