AP Photo It looks like quite a few people within the San Francisco 49ers organization are still grumbling over last season’s NFC Championship loss to the New York Giants. And one former Giant, running back Brandon Jacobs gets to hear all about it. “Brandon Jacobs learned it was still a touchy subject soon after the ex-Giant signed with San Francisco in March. Jim Harbaugh pulled him aside one day to complain about the forward-progress call that wiped away an apparent fumble late in the game by Jacobs’ former teammate, Ahmad Bradshaw,” wrote Mathew Barrows of The Sacramento Bee. “I don’t feel bad for you, coach,” Jacobs told Harbaugh, per the Bee. “That’s how I leave it, and I’ll go on with practice.” 49ers running back Frank Gore spoke out during a meeting regarding the overtime loss to the Giants. “You could hear it in his voice,” Jacobs said. “The guy was angry. And I would have been angry, as well. No question about it.” I wonder would happen if Jacobs happened to pul

I’ll Pass On: Frank Gore

Doing the trash can slalom Juan… 2011 Recap:  Gore played his first 16 game season since 2006, but it wasn’t without injury.  He battled through ankle and knee injuries that really slowed him down toward the back end of the season.  Gore had missed 10 games between 2007-10, so it was a positive to see him make it all the way through a season.  He finished as the 20th overall...

Frank Gore looks great in camp

Getty Images According to Grant Cohn of the pressdemocrat.com, San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore has looked very impressive in camp so far.  Of course we shouldn’t expect anything less from a great player Gore. “Frank Gore was the best running back on the field once again today. 49ers' offense still playing catch-up

The 49ers spent the bulk of the offseason upgrading the personnel on the offensive side of the ball, but the defense has continued to dominate during the first week of training camp practices. But the 49ers haven't displayed...

Ex-Giants Jacobs, Manningham try to fit with 49ers

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By ANTONIO GONZALEZ AP Sports Writer Brandon Jacobs never broaches the subject with his new San Francisco 49ers teammates unless he's asked. After all, they don't usually like his answers. The 49ers have been fueled during training camp by January's 20-17 overtime loss in the NFC title game to the eventual Super Bowl champion New York Giants....

Newcomers know to stay away from sore subject

Brandon Jacobs and Mario Manningham shy away from a certain topic that has been prevalent so far this summer during 49ers training camp. The two newcomers know the sensation of pain that goes along with the talk, because they helped deliver a heavy dose of it to their new teammates last year when both played for the New York Giants.

49ers WR Michael Crabtree Expected Back ‘Soon’

Unless a different injury pops up before the regular-season opener, it appears as if sidelined wide receiver Michael Crabtree will break his o-for-the-preseason streak this summer. Today, Jim Harbaugh said Crabtree’s lower-leg injury wasn’t serious and he expects him to return to practice soon. Crabtree, who missed his sixth day of practice, ran a series of sprints on an adjacent...
