From Larry Brown Sports:

The Indianapolis Colts organization has done a tremendous job of showing support for head coach Chuck Pagano since he was diagnosed with leukemia, and that continued over the weekend when a member of the cheerleading squad agreed to join the movement.

On Sunday, the Colts' mascot, Blue, sent a tweet asking if a member of the team's cheer squad would let him shave her head if he could raise $10,000 for leukemia research. A Colts cheerleader named Megan M. agreed.

A day later, a light-hearted video entitled "Operation Shave Megan's Head" was posted to the Colts' website, and it shows Megan signing an agreement to shave her head.

"Everybody knows someone who's been affected by cancer," Megan said. "Knowing that I can maybe be strength or inspiration for someone going through this ... I want to be strength for them. That's really what it's all about -- showing that we're Chuckstrong."

Blue is now asking fans to visit www.colts.com/chuckstrong to make a donation to the CHUCKSTRONG fund. The mascot has until Sunday, November 25 to raise the money. If he reaches his goal, Megan will shave her head at the Colts vs. Bills game.

As we showed you last week, more than two dozen Colts players have shaved their heads to show their support for Pagano. Guys can pull off the shaved head look and most of them had short hair to begin with, so it won't take the players nearly as long to look like their old selves as it would for Megan. Her offer is just another example of how selfless the entire organization has been in showing their support for their head coach and cancer research.

Luck keeps Pats-Colts rivarly relevant

You'd think with Peyton Manning in Denver the once-fierce Colts-Patriots rivalry would be diminished. No such "Luck." Now that Indianapolis has its new franchise quarterback -- rookie Andrew Luck, the overall No. 1 pick in this year's draft -- it's become quite clear this rivalry could remain intense. Through nine games, Luck has looked incredibly poised...

Indianapolis Colts: Week 11 NFL Power Rankings (#8)

Last week: 9 (+1) Record: 6-3 I’ve never seen anything like this ChuckStrong movement in the NFL. It’s spread from the team shaving their heads to citizens of the city of Indianapolis and the surrounding area shaving their heads to even one of the cheerleaders agreeing to shave her head if they can raise $10,000 for cancer research (ballsy girl). This thing has almost become...

Reggie Wayne’s Presence Essential to Andrew Luck’s Rapid Development, Colts’ Unexpected Success This Season

Every great quarterback needs a great receiver to rely on during their early development. Joe Montana and Steve Young had Jerry Rice, Troy Aikman had Michael Irving and Peyton Manning had Marvin Harrison. And those are just a few of the most extreme cases throughout NFL history. Now, the onus of that argument turns to Indianapolis, where the development of Andrew Luck takes center...

Manning vs. Luck: The 6-3 Kids

A little over a year ago Peyton Manning was sitting on the sidelines still in Indianapolis Colt attempting to recover from painful neck surgery. Manning did his best to give advice to back-up quarterback Curtis Painter, who in all respect is probably a painter at this point in time considering we all know how well he was able to lead the disastrous Indy squad last year. At the same...

Phil Jackson: Spurs are not a dynasty

Phil Jackson is calling the shots for the Knicks as their new team president and it looks like he’s taking shots at an old Western Conference foe. Unfortunately for Pineda, John Farrell is not dumb enough to be fooled twice. Pineda was ejected from the game in the second inning after Farrell asked...
