Not to get all religious on people, but I don’t think even God could help the dreadful Cardinals at this point.  Then again, maybe divine intervention is the only thing that can help Arizona now. The West Greenway Bible Church in Glendale put up this delightful sign in response to the buzz from fans and players that they had given up on the 4-9 team following their 58-0 blowout loss to division rival Seattle.  The uninspired play in the game against the Seahawks, coupled with the abhorrent mess that is the quarterback situation has caused many supporters to write off the team for this season, as well as the immediate future. From KTAR… Pastor John Correia said the verse says that, with God, all things are possible. He put the verse up after hearing fans and players alike were giving up on the season. “It just prompted me to say, ‘No, it’s just the opposite. There’s always hope, there’s always help available.’” As far as what fans should pray for, Correia said don’t ask for wins, ask for peace in the locker room. “It’s pretty obvious that there’s going to be some staff changes and some changes on the roster in the off-season and those people are going to be looking for jobs and, whatnot and guess what? We need to pray for those folks too.” Nice sentiment, and Pastor Correia is correct when he says there’s always hope, even for the Cardinals.  Unless you’re the Jacksonville Jaguars.  They’re just a Chad Henne injury away from the rapture. Richard Sherman: Marshawn Lynch having MVP season

At a time when a lot of the focus surrounding postseason awards in Seattle has been on Russell Wilson, there is another player on the Seahawks who deserves some recognition, maybe even more than the Super Bowl-winning quarterback. Curt Schilling tweeted advice to Johnny Manziel

How did you spend your Christmas Eve? If you’re ESPN MLB analyst Curt Schilling, you spent it tweeting unsolicited advice to Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel. @JManziel2 Didn't ask for it, but I'll throw it out there. If being the best doesn't consume your every waking thought, do something else. — Curt Schilling (@gehrig38) December 25, 2014   That’s… odd to...

Aaron Rodgers buys TVs for Packers teammates

Aaron Rodgers is a generous guy. The Green Bay Packers quarterback got into the holiday spirit Wednesday by presenting each of his offensive lineman with a brand-new, 55-inch television. Signal-callers doling out gifts to their O-line is a standard practice, but Rodgers didn’t stop there. The NFL MVP candidate also bought TVs for the men backing him up, Scott Tolzien and Matt...
