The big news yesterday in Costa Rica was that while Tom Brady was busy building a beach campfire, his wife Gisele was directing a beach photoshoot with Wes Welker & his future wife Anna Burns. You might remember Gisele – post-Super Bowl – wasn’t exactly a big fan of Welker’s & N.E. WR’s catching ability in Indy. From the look of these photos out today, it seems everyone has buried the hatchet.

Damn, these paparazzi are good. Knew the exact beach where Gisele would be vacationing in Costa Rica. How do they do it?

Wes Welker Ultra Highlights (by XposeYourTDs) In honor of the open Franchise Tag window here’s a pretty sweet Welker highlight film. I know there’s some discussion right now whether the Pats should let Welker walk, replace him with Edelman to run the slot routes, and use the money saved to go after someone like Mike Wallace. I don’t think it’s totally insane to entertain...

What is the most telling development in the Wes Welker contract situation? Maybe it’s…

Much will be written about Patriots WR Wes Welker’s contract situation, and much already has. There will be speculation and more speculation, and it’s happening now. The truth is, even the participants don’t know how it will play out. Will Welker get a long-term deal? The franchise tag? The chance to test the free agent waters with the Patriots hoping he returns...

Will New England Patriots Tag Welker?

Monday marks the day that NFL teams can start putting the franchise tag on key free agents if they haven’t agreed to a new deal. For the New England Patriots, that means number one receiver Wes Welker. Both sides have been silent on the negotiations this offseason so we have to look to the past to see if and when Welker will be tagged. Since Bill Belichick took over as head coach...

Linking the Patriots and deep threat WR Mike Wallace: Hmmmmmm….

Patriots coach Bill Belichick jokes that he traded for WR Wes Welker because he couldn’t cover him in practice. It’s not really a joke. In fact, he has a history of dealing for guys who his teams struggle with. Is WR Mike Wallace the next one? The third-year receiver is still with the Steelers, but he’s a restricted free agent. But with his team in salary cap jail...

A little late, but… the NFL will look into those pesky 12 men on the field penalties

File this under the Better-Late-Than-Never category… A few weeks after the Patriots lost Super Bowl XLVI to the Giants, the NFL is considering adjusting its penalty for 12 men on the field after the G-Men forced the Patriots to burn valuable time late in the game. This is according to Yahoo! Sports’ Jason Cole. You know what happened. With 17 seconds left, QB Tom Brady...
