Via Rumors And Rants:

On Thursday FBI agents raided properties in northeast Indiana belonging to former New York Jets offensive lineman Jason Fabini and his brother. The retired Fabini claims he is not the focus of the bureau’s investigation.
According to the AP, federal, state and local officers raided a Fort Wayne property owned by Fabini, a house owned by his brother, Michael Fabini, and five other properties in the area on Thursday. FBI Special Agent David Crawford was unwilling to say why the properties were raided but claimed there was “investigative activity” going on there.
Jason Fabini issued a statement through his attorney on Thursday claiming he was not the target of the investigation and is not involved in any criminal activities.
Fabini’s statement reads as follows:
“I have cooperated fully with authorities, and will continue to do so. I have not been charged, nor do I expect to be charged with a crime. I expect the community will have many questions as rumors circulate and this investigation continues, but I ask that we trust the authorities to do their job.”
Officers were seen carrying items out of Michael Fabini’s house and loading them into trucks and a police dog was also part of the search.
Jason Fabini played in 11 NFL seasons, eight with the Jets, one for the Dallas Cowboys and two with the Washington Redskins. He retired in 2008.
Again, there is no evidence that the former guard and tackle is involved in anything criminal, and the FBI hasn’t yet stated what, exactly, their investigation is in response to. We will keep you updated as we hear more.
