Via Black Sports Online:

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has a little of free time on his hands before he begins his quarterback competition with Nick Foles, so what better way to use your time wisely then to sign your family and yourself up for some dog-training classes?
The photo courtesy of Crossing Broad shows Vick, and the family dog, Angel, during dog-training classes at a New Jersey PetSmart.
Vick is reportedly usually joined by Angel, a Belgian Malinois, his family, and a bodyguard. Crossing Broad is reporting that Vick is a regular at the store and signed up for a total of six training classes on Monday evenings, with this being the second week.
I know the outrage will come over the fact that he’s a convicted dog killer, and should have no right to own a dog or be around them.
I am an optimistic type of guy, a glass half full kind of guy, and I take solace in the fact that he has his family engaged, and they are all learning about how to treat and interact properly with dogs.

Why do Media outlets always have to instigate stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
right. there is still going to be an outrage on vick having a dog. why would people look up to him and think he is all that? he is still a piece of **** for what he did to those dogs.
-
you sound like a damn fool so you never made a misstake in your life right lol
-
"Never made a mistake"?? Of course. Murdering dogs for fun isn't a mistake you fool. It's an 'on purpose' and he spent time in the clink for it. Deservedly so. lol
-
thats right he did the crime and has paid for it already. He now deserves to continue to live his live and try to live a better life. Good on him. Why shouldnt he be allowed to properly enjoy having a dog? I mean after all. drunk drivers who kill people are allowed to drive again after they pay their debt to society.
-
I'm not really sure how I feel about Vick having a dog again. He did do his time for his crime. Though I think that he probably has learned his lesson, my heart says he didn't pay enough... however, this argument about drunk drivers and their licenses is interesting because I do NOT think they should be allowed to drive again - EVER! So where would that leave your argument for Vick?
-
So, @Rickmav83 - if a pedophile does his time and gets out of jail, do you think it should be OK for him to open up a daycare in his house; or should we stay on top of that law that says people who rape little kids aren't allowed to have your little kid alone in their basement sitting on their lap?
-
you the fool you clown so i guess hie kids should pay for his misstake get a life
-
Running a dog fighting ring isn't a mistake. IF the average Joe had that record do you think he'd have a dog or a job making millions? Nope...this is disgusting to me that he had a dog and a Malinois at that..this is not for a beginner--these are tough dogs...
-
you sound pretty ignorant or uncaring. This low life is responsible for the torture and deaths of many dogs!!So to you this is just a mistake in life huh??? Try telling that to the poor survivers of his cruel and horrible treatment of animals!!!!!! Guess you have not seen any pictures of his little mistakes, huh??? Killing and torturing animals is not just a mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
How quickly people forget. Petsmart has lost my business forever. Shame on you!!!!
-
Agree and will never shop at Petsmart again!
-
O.k. there are some who can change. Give him a chance and see what happens. Certainly God can change anyone for doing anything.
-
you on the right track Vick
-
By associating himself with dogs again? Get real idiot. This scumbag should stay clear of dogs and find another path that's unrelated to animals. If there is aHell, Vick is going there.
-
What about his daughter who wants a dog, hence the reason he owns a dog. Should he say "I killed dogs sweetie, so you should suffer because of Daddy's mistakes"? Which would mean to her that he either is not sorry or there is no such thing as forgiveness. You people are so judgmental it's crazy. I would hope that Vick is allowed to be a better person instead of people constantly holding him to his lowest moments. If we were all treated like that, life would definitely be unbearable!
-
**** u u the idiot i have dogs a love my dogs and u say he cant owned one he do have kids who didnt know about his doging fighting so i guess they should pay also get real god forgive why not yall clown
-
Too bad Vick didn’t go to Petsmart classes first. Those dogs he exploited, tortured, and killed at Bad Newz Kennels might still be alive. It makes my skin crawl at the thought of him putting his hands on another dog.
-
It' ok to let convicted killers to have guns so they can continue to kill innocence people, but this guy can't have a dog.
-
Actually, convicted killers lose their right, at both the state and federal levels, to own or operate firearms. A convicted killer with a gun is, once again, breaking the law. As for the daughter who wants a dog--too bad Vick didn't run the kennel as a legitimate business. She could have had her pick of dozens of dogs.
-
that doesn't mean they don't have them. more gang bangers and excons have guns than the law abiding citizen.
-
I have not forgiven Vick for what he did. I am not happy that he has another dog. However, if he is trying to change I guess I am happy to see that. I hope that he will continue to stay on a good path. As I say this, I still am skeptical about him and don't trust him and won't ever forgive him for what he did to those poor dogs. As far as PetSmart goes,I don't see why they wouldn't open their dog training to anyone who expresses a desire to learn the proper way to handle a dog, we shouldn't persecute PetSmart.
-
Ya'll boycotting Petsmart and mad at Vick, he's this, he's that, and he is still making millions, blah, blah, blah. But your not mad at bankers, chik-fill-a, wallstreet etc. There's elderly people eating Dog Food.
