PLAYERS: Ndamukong Suh
TEAMS: Detroit Lions

Via It's Always Sunny In Detroit:

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh recently joined efforts with diving champ Greg Louganis to help Louie Anderson from the pool during a taping of 'Splash', an upcoming ABC reality TV show that pits celebrities against one another in various diving competitions.

According to TMZ, the comedian and former "Family Feud" host “was practicing his dives on Wednesday when he became a little too bushed to pull himself up the ladder ... falling back into the water again and again.”

Suh and Louganis lifted the struggling Anderson up the ladder before he coughed up water for “several seconds." And here Lions teammates are concerned Suh might hurt himself diving. How about playing the role of a crane?

As far as Suh goes, this news is atypical from the other times he's made headlines in the past. His play on the field has earned him a reputation as a dirty player, most notably his 'stomp' on an opposing player on Thanksgiving in 2011, and a questionable kick to Texans QB Matt Schaub's groin on year later that earned the Lions star a $30,000 fine from the NFL. Suh has made news off the field, as well, for being involved in multiple car accidents over the last two years.

NFL Pro Bowl Fail: League puts wrong Lions logo on Pro Bowl jerseys

For a League that hands out $10,500 dollar fines for wearing your socks too low in a game, you’d think they’d get their own uniform rules right… Wrong. During Sunday’s Pro Bowl in Honolulu, the NFL had Lions Pro Bowlers Ndamukong Suh and Don Muhlbach were sporting the NFC jerseys with Lions logo on the upper right chest. The only problem was it was the logo used prior to...

In Most Devious Act Yet, Ndamukong Suh Saves The Life Of Louie Anderson

Frequently decried as a cheap-shotting menace on the field and a reckless driver off of it, Ndamukong Suh could use a bit of positive PR. Saving the life of a fellow celebrity could be just that. Does it count if that celebrity is Louie Anderson? I suppose that’s for the public to decide. Comedian Louie Anderson narrowly averted disaster this week at a taping of “Splash” ...

Terrell Owens to Titus Young: Know your role

When it comes to wearing out your welcome with an NFL team, Terrell Owens is an expert. No one would ever confuse T.O. with a quiet player who minds his own business. It’s often been said that those who can’t do should instead teach, which is why it makes sense on some level that Owens recently had a bit of advice for Detroit Lions receiver Titus Young. Young, who has tremendous...

Is Miguel Cabrera this generation’s Hank Aaron?

On June 20, 2003, Miguel Cabrera struck out in his first big league at bat.  He’d get the last laugh however. In the bottom of the eleventh inning the 20-year-old rookie hit a two-run home run to help his then-Florida Marlins to a 3-1 victory over the then-Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Now, I bring that up only to awkwardly segue into this. Friday, the reigning American League MVP turned...
