If the events of the past few weeks are any indication — not to mention every classic Ron Gronkowski moment from the past few years – all signs are pointing to the inevitable certainty that we are witnessing the gestational stages of “Summer of Gronk 2: Electric Boogaloo.” And now it has been announced that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski — who should have Poison’s “Nothin’ but a Good Time” played whenever he enters a room — will be serving as the Oscars Red Carpet correspondent for the Rich Eisen’s podcast. Yeah, this could either go brilliantly or be a complete train wreck. Either way, it cannot be disputed that it will be entertaining. Let’s just hope there aren’t any impromptu pee parties in the men’s restroom similar to the one Gronk engaged in after the ESPYS last year.
According to a tweet from NFL Media PR retweeted by the Eisen Podcast’s Twitter account, Gronk will be conducting interviews with all the big stars, presumably while he’s nattily attired in a sharp tuxedo with its sleeves cut off and no shirt underneath — or maybe just a cummerbund and little else, because hey, that’s how Rob Gronkowski rolls.
