TEAMS: Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers
Via FootBasket:

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver recently slid some of the Super Bowl attention away from Ray Lewis when he suggested that he couldn’t handle a gay teammate. In Culliver’s words, “I don’t do gays.”
The Ravens, who have a civil rights activist on their roster in Brendon Ayanbadejo, don’t feel the same, and as star linebacker Terrell Suggs suggested, the Ravens would welcome a gay teammate.
“We wouldn’t have a problem with it,” Suggs said, via Pro Football Talk. “We don’t care. Our biggest thing in the locker room is to just have fun and stay loose. We don’t really care too much about that. We’re a football team. I said it yesterday; everybody deserves a certain amount of privacy. Who cares? Whatever a person’s choice is, it’s their choice.
Suggs hinted that the Ravens locker room welcomes those who choose to be themselves.
“On this team, with so many different personalities, we just accept people for who they are and we don’t really care too much about a player’s sexuality,” Suggs said. “To each their own. You know who you are, and we accept you for it.”
49ers cornerback: No gays allowed
Niners cornerback made some startling comments on Super Bowl Media Day that will surely raise a few eyebrows over the next few days.
Update: Culliver has apologized.
