We aren’t sure if Georgia Poole can lay claim to be the oldest living Washington Redskins fan in the world at the age of 99, but it is going to be tough to disprove it, as she made her way to the team’s training camp. Oh, and this is not just some old school fan who only remembers the days of ‘Slinging’ Sammy Baugh. Nah, she’s a full-fledged Robert Griffin III groupie. When asked what she would say if given the opportunity to meet the 2nd-year QB who is battling back from major offseason surgery, Poole said “I’d be so excited, I’m not sure what I’d say.” Well, she knew exactly what to say when he sauntered his way over to her. Via FTW I love her passion, and her proclamation about the Super Bowl, and her stern warning to keep safe. Poole will turn 100, Lord willing, on August 16th.

Matt Duffy is baseball’s biggest surprise

Guys drafted in the 18th round aren’t supposed to amount to much. Every once in a while you get lucky, but for the most part teams are drafting for organizational depth by then: players who might move up a level or two in the minors, but nothing more. It’s where teams draft a light-hitting infielder with a .253/.305/.289 overall college slash line with no career home runs....

Jim Harbaugh joins Colin Cowherd for awkward interview

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh joined ESPN’s Colin Cowherd for what appeared to be an innocent interview on Wednesday morning, but it could not have gone much worse. Harbaugh, who isn’t exactly the easiest guy to deal with, seemed to be on the defensive the entire time. He provided very little insight and stonewalled Cowherd on...Read More

Report: Butler leaning toward long-term deal with Bulls

There’s no denying Jimmy Butler’s NBA future is bright. The biggest question, however, is where his star will be shining. Although the Chicago Bulls have the rights to the restricted free agent, Butler was reportedly seeking short-term offer sheets to maximize his earning potential when the salary cap begins to spike after the 2015-16 campaign. However, according to ESPN...

Nick Foles ready to lead dynamic Rams offense

The St. Louis Rams have been slowly rebuilding their team over the last couple of seasons, and they are very happy with where they are at heading into the 2015 season. They were able to add two very important pieces to their offense this offseason, and to say that the Rams have a chance to be dynamic would be an understatement. Nick Foles was acquired by the Rams this past offseason...

America will do plenty of celebrating on Fourth of July weekend. For Bobby Bonilla, though, the party already has started.   July 1 marks a special day for the former MLB slugger, as it’s the day he receives his annual $1.2 million check from the New York Mets. Report: Country club might be too exclusive for Brady, Gisele

Apparently Tom Brady has more than just a battle with the NFL on his hands. The Boston Globe reported Tuesday that the New England Patriots quarterback and his wife have applied for membership at Brookline Country Club, regarded as one of the most exclusive country clubs around. According to the Globe, it’s far from a certainty that the Brady bunch is granted membership. “It’s...
