TEAMS: Detroit Lions

From Los That Sports Blog:

With the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions selected defensive end Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah out of BYU. He was expected to be a high draft pick, but not many people expected his choice of accessory.

When the cameras went in for a close-up, they showed that Ansah was wearing 3D glasses without the lenses.

Many people made jokes about it and thought it was just a humorous move on Ansah’s part. It turns out that it paid off for the Lions rookie.

IMAX sent the letter below to Ansah on Friday offering him free movies for a year:

Pretty cool move by IMAX. I guess the joke is on whomever made fun of Ansah’s eyewear now.

Lions add length and size to defense

FOUR-DOWN TERRITORY First down: The Detroit Lions have tried to get bigger -- and longer -- at defensive end. So it’s at least understandable when players get upset over a specific player getting the benefit of the doubt, or getting a promotion...
