Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray's breakthrough in October led to him being named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for November.In four games in November, Murray rushed for 434 yards and a touchdown on 89 carries. He also caught 20 passes for 156 yards during that stretch. The Cowboys were 4-0 in November.Murray, a third-round draft pick out of Oklahoma, became the Cowboys' primary rusher on Oct. 23, when he rushed for a franchise-record 253 yards against the Rams.Murray is only the second Cowboys player to win Offensive Rookie of the Month and just the fourth Cowboys rookie overall to be honored with a monthly award.Julius Jones was named Offensive Rookie of the Month for November 2004. Dexter Coakley won the defensive honor in October 1997 and DeMarcus Ware won it in October 2005.In a reflection of the Cowboys' 7-4 season, Murray is also the fourth Cowboy this season to be honored with a weekly or monthly award.Quarterback Tony Romo was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 2. Kicker Dan Bailey was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week in Week3. Second-year linebacker Sean Lee was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.
