The New England Patriots released another veteran receiver. This time it was 10 year vet Michael Jenkins. Jenkins was signed this offseason to help make over the Patriots receiving corps. While he started OTAs with the starting unit and training camp as well, an injury caused him to miss sometime. It is becoming more and more evident that the Patriots will be relying on Danny Amendola and three impressive rookie pass catchers to shoulder the load. Amendola has been the best receiver on the field brought in this offseason. The others Donald Jones, Levelle Hawkins and Michael Jenkins have now all been passed by Kenbrell Thompkins, Aaron Dobson, and Josh Boyce. The rookies look impressive, but the season is still early.
