THE REIGNING MVP IS OUT FOR THE YEAR. THE PATRIOTS JUST WENT FROM FAVORITE TO AFTERTHOUGHT. Brady suffered a knee injury in the first half against the Kansas City Chiefs and was unable to walk off the field under his own power. If Patriots fans were worried then, they must be in absolute shock now. The New England Patriots, the team that went undefeated last regular season and lost the Super Bowl in the closing moments are done. There is no other way to put it. Whether you call it karma (Spygate) or nature taking its course (time for a new alpha dog) the most shocking injury that could happen to any NFL team is a reality. Tom Brady is out for the year.
