CB Randall Gay: New Orleans Saints 2009 Headshots (Source: Yardbarker.com) Corner back Randall Gay’s season is over after the team placed on him on injured reserve today with lingering post concussion symptoms weeks after he was originally concussed in week two’s win over the San Francisco 49ers. Gay joined the Saints in free agency prior to the 2008 season agreeing to a four-year 17.8 million contract. Although he lead the team in passes defensed with 15 while starting 13 games for the Saints that season he eventually became the top nickel back once the team drafted Tracy Porter and acquired Jabari Greer. In his three seasons with the team Gay has notched 94 tackles, 2 sacks, 20 pass defelections and one interception. To offset the loss of Gay the Saints have signed former Cowboy and Ram corner Quincy Butler to the roster.
