The Football Fan Spot:
Last week: 26 (+0)
The bad news is the Saints are 0-4. The good news is that they looked a lot better last week, going into Lambeau Field and playing a solid game in a close loss to the Packers. There’s understandably adjustment period to live without your Head Coach, especially a Super Bowl winning one like Sean Payton, but it should get easier on a weekly basis. Plus, having Drew Brees doesn’t hurt. That’s why this team is ahead of several teams that have won games. Still, they are the favorite to be this year’s team to goes from in the playoffs to 5 or fewer wins.
C Brian La Puente: Did not allow a pressure on 58 pass rush snaps, run blocked for 17 yards on 4 attempts
QB Drew Brees: 35 of 54 for 446 yards and 3 touchdowns, 2 throw aways, 4 drops, 99.9 adjusted QB rating, pressured on 6 of 56 drop backs (2 sacks, 1 of 4, 1 throw away)
WR Marques Colston: Caught 9 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown on 13 attempts on 52 pass snaps, 4.0 YAC per catch, 1 penalty

Saints Coach Payton Will Not Ask Permission To Attend Potential Record-Breaking Game -
Suspended New Orleans head coach Sean Payton doesn’t plan to ask the NFL for special permission to witness Saints quarterback Drew Brees breaking Johnny Unitas’ NFL record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass. The Saints (0-4) play the San Diego Chargers (3-1) on Sunday night, but Payton...
Let's see, where should I start? Worst run defense in the league, pass defense ranks within the last ten teams in the league, only six total team sacks, no running game, numerous mental lapses… bottom line is the New Orleans Saints just aren’t really good right now and things won’t get any easier for them as the season progresses.Coming into the season, I knew the defense...
There was at least one bright spot for the Saints in the loss to the Packers on Sunday. During the game, Drew Brees tied NFL great Johnny Unitas’ record of 47 consecutive games with at least one touchdown. Brees now has a chance to break the record that has stood for 52 years this Sunday when the Saints play the Chargers. And all he has to do is do what he does best, throw a touchdown...
With Drew Brees in position to break Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas' record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass, Unitas' son has sent words of encouragement to the Saints quarterback.
A letter from Joe Unitas, which the Saints posted on a team website, congratulates Brees for tying the record of 47 straight games last weekend in Green Bay.
Joe Unitas says...
Philly Sports World Fantasy Week 4 recap
Predicting the Saints to lose and they did I am now 2-2, though not the way I predicted it. Drew Brees showed up and showed up big but it wasn’t enough. Fantasy owners got huge points off the 446 yards and 3 touchdowns.
DUD of the week
Cam Newton> had him as a fantasy sit against the Falcons and he has his best game of the year. Having...
With the Detroit Lions on bye this week A.J Green is the number one receiver for week five. Green has always had the talent, arguably more than Julio Jones but Andy Dalton averageness has held him back from being labelled as arguably a top-two talent at the receiver position with Fitzgerald and Megatron. This season he has been the most consistent receiver scoring.
Drew Brees looks...
Seven from Sunday - Week 4. Drew Brees ties Johnny Unitas, Tom Brady ties Brett Favre and the Vikings and Rams special teams accomplish something that has never been done in the history of the great American game.
Now that nobody in Green Bay has fingernails left and some will be sporting new gray hairs on their head it is time to sum up the game.
This game featured a battle between the starting quarterbacks as Aaron Rodgers threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns. Not to be outdone Drew Brees threw for 446 yards and three touchdowns.
In terms of offense, the Packers had a solid attack. ...
Sunday marked the triumphant return of many Fantasy Football players. Last year’s juggernauts such as Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Roddy White and Drew Brees finally lit up the fantasy scoreboards like their owners have been expecting them to. Even the 49ers came up with an eye popping performance (27 pts in ESPN standard [...]
