The 2006 season to the New York Giants may be too long ago, but to the average fan it’s becoming clear the Giants are self-destructive like they were in 2006. In 2006, the Giants got out to a 6-2 record by the midpoint of the season, but finished 2-6 for the remainder. The Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens and to cap it all off the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants came into the season with the toughest schedule in the NFL and that is becoming apparent now at 6-4, but the real culprit is distractions.… Read more

Justin Tuck says Giants haven’t lost their confidence

New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck says despite the team’s back-to-back losses they are not because of a lack of confidence (Credit: AP Photo) The New York Giants did not lose on Sunday, but then again they did not actually play on Sunday. The team had their bye week this week and got back to practice on Monday. After losing back-to-back games, the Giants are starting to...

Justin Tuck thinks the Giants lost a little focus

Focus man, that’s what Justin Tuck is saying in a nutshell. The two time Super Bowl champion knows a little about the art of second half football, and the Giants are in a good position this time around. The team is usually fighting down to the wire, but this year they have a chance to take it all off the table earlier than previous years. The key is always health, and a healthy...

Ahmad Bradshaw Not Practicing Wednesday

Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who has been dealing with a neck injury, did not practice Wednesday. He did practice on Monday so we are not worried by his absence.Fantasy Spin:Bradshaw hasn't cracked the 100-yard rushing mark since Week 6 and has been yielding his goal line carries to Andre Brown, but he's still a viable fantasy RB2 when healthy.

Giants QB Eli Manning Shoots Down 'Dead Arm' Chatter

Eli Manning admits he feels stronger after the bye week, but the New York Giants quarterback shot down speculation he's played with a "dead arm" during the team's two-game losing streak. "I didn't think there was anything to it," Manning told Jorge Castillo of The Star-Ledger on Monday. "I still, in practices, thought I was throwing the ball...

Justin Tuck Says Giants Were 'Too Confident' Before Losing Streak

Less than three weeks ago, the Giants still looked like a team ready to repeat, so two straight losses weren’t going to shake the confidence of the defending Super Bowl champions. A lack of confidence is something Justin Tuck said he believes won’t ever be an issue for the Giants, but at times this season, he said he thinks they may have had too much. “I think we’ve always...

Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw Sidelined At Practice Again

The Giants held a short Thanksgiving Day practice session, but Ahmad Bradshaw wasn't on the field. Bradshaw (foot) didn't practice for the second straight day, sitting out along with DT Linval Joseph (knee) and WR Domenik Hixon (ankle). Hixon, who is battling a high ankle sprain and said he's "taking it day-by-day," and Bradshaw, who rarely practices these...

Green Bay Packers at New York Giants: Week 12 NFL Pick

Green Bay Packers (7-3) at New York Giants (6-4) What’s wrong with the Giants? That’s what everyone is asking. Well, they do this every year. Since Tom Coughlin took over, the Giants are 53-19 in the first 8 games of a season and 27-39 in the last 8 games of the season, including these last 2 losses. Eli Manning has been the main problem of late and not just in the 2 losses....

Packers will deny it, but they must beat Giants

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- This is not going to be just another regular-season game. No, the Packers' upcoming matchup with the New York Giants means far more to coach Mike McCarthy's group than the win or loss that will come from it. It was the Giants who ended what was nearly a perfect season from Green Bay in 2011. A dominant Packers offense that led the NFL in scoring could muster...

Sam Bradford vs Eli Manning on the franchise quarterback growth curve

As the St Louis Rams' record continues to slide following a heartening 3-2 start to the season, Sam Bradford's progression on the "elite quarterback growth curve" is receiving increasing scrutiny. Whether he has a strong game (275-2-0 versus the 49ers) or a weak one (170-2-1 vs the Jets), unless the Rams win the criticism will always be there. It's just a matter...

The school announced the agreement Wednesday. It will run through June 2019, though contract terms were not released. The fifth-year coach -- who was Peyton Manning's offensive coordinator at Tennessee and Eli...

Slumping, rested Giants get back to work

Coming off a bye week and riding a two-game losing streak, the New York Giants realize it's time to turn things around. While they have a one-game lead over Dallas in the NFC East, the defending Super Bowl champions (6-4) also have a brutal six-game closing stretch that starts Sunday night against the red-hot Green Bay Packers (7-3), winners of five in a row. ''It needs...
