The Sports Bank:
During the regular season, the Green Bay Packers lost a total of six fumbles. In their playoff game against the New York Giants, they lost three. And that was only part of went wrong for the Packers in their shocking 37-20 loss to the Giants.
Aaron Rodgers was far from efficient and the receiving core dropped a season-high eight balls.
This weekend’s big winners were the San Francisco 49ers who will get another home game when they host the Giants in the NFC Championship game.
Lambeau Field doesn’t hold the lustrous home-field advantage that it used to have. From 1939 to 2001, the Packers were a perfect 13-0 in playoff home games, since then, they are a paltry 2-4, including two losses to the Giants.
Believe it or not, this marked Rodgers first-ever playoff start at home. Perhaps, it would have been better for the Packers to lose more games during the regular season and play on the road the entire way like they did last season as the final wild-card team.

After the Green Bay Packers came up short on Sunday, the state of Wisconsin may be feeling like a bunch of losers. But never fear, cheeseheads. Though the Packers couldn't win a playoff game the season after winning the Super Bowl, Miss Wisconsin did come through for you. Kenosha's own Laura Kaeppeler was crowned Miss America on Saturday night.
Though her platform is to support...

Hey there, Packers. We noticed that you lost on Sunday. We watched as your receivers forgot how to catch passes, and as Aaron Rodgers was sacked four times and picked off once. We saw your shoddy defense finally catch up with you. The New York Giants knocked you out of the playoffs, and yes, Chicago Bears fans were watching.
We write you not to rub it in, but to offer a few...
GREEN BAY — Aaron Rodgers had a nearly perfect season as the Super Bowl champion Packers nearly went undefeated. Just as Tom Brady had a nearly perfect season once, too.
I could sit here and tell you I saw this coming. Even though I did pick the Giants to upset the Packers, I didn't imagine or even dream it would happen in such a dominating manner, but it did. The Packers will be forced to wonder what could have been. For the Giants, the win is a validation of all their struggles throughout this season. They're right back where they want...
The best statistical illustration of the Giants' sensational coverage against the Packers was the seven rushes by quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Pull yourself together, Double Chin. If anyone should be pissed that the Packers were knocked out in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, it should be this guy who spent $250 on Packers stock so I’d be legitimately on the bandwagon. You…are just ridiculous thinking that those sparkles on your nails cost the Packers a trip to the NFC Championship.
(If this is fake, this...
You know those crazy-superstitious sports fans who insist that their gameday routine and attire somehow impacts the success or failure of their favorite team? Well, sometimes they’re right.
Poor Casey here – a die-hard Packers fan – apparently let her “friend” convince her to apply sparkles to her nails and don a Clay Matthews jersey on Sunday instead of her normally-preferred...
New York Giants @ Green Bay Packers
In terms of offensive production, this is probably the marquee game of the weekend with the potent Giants visiting the even more potent Packers. This is a rematch of the December 4thgame in which the Packers won 38-35, which included a couple of controversial calls that went Green Bay’s way. The Giants have probably been chomping at the bit...
Giants Pound Packers, 37-20, to Advance to NFC Championship Game
Oh, yes they did. The Giants walloped the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers at Lambeau field tonight, 37-20, to advance to the NFC Championship Game in San Francisco next Sunday at 6:30pm Eastern.
The score was not indicative of the action on the field. Both Packer touchdown drives were aided by dubious...
Congratulations, Tom Brady! You just knocked Tim Tebow out of the playoffs and saved us an additional week of soft focus Rick Reilly columns about how Tebow is a good quarterback but an even BETTER human being. That's the good news. The bad news is that you are the last man standing when it comes to elite QBs carrying lousy defenses.
There were three teams in the divisional...
