New York Giants star wide receiver Victor Cruz took the football world by storm last year, turning into one of the top receivers in the league and helping his team win the Super Bowl.
Cruz has been playing strong this year so far and was able to show up big in the Giants’ comeback victory over the Cleveland Browns Sunday in Week Five, catching three touchdown passes.
And whenever Cruz is scoring, there is always going to be some celebrating for him, thanks to his salsa dance which has now been a signature of his after he scores and has been nationally recognized by football fans everywhere.
However, some people feel that the dance is getting old and outdated and that it should expire like salsa does itself. Cruz admits it, too, and he says he may change some things up.
“I am not quite ready to let the cat out the bag, but there might be a little something,” Cruz told the New York Daily News.
Cruz will not change up the dance, as it is a tribute to his grandmother, who sadly passed away this past month.
“Gotta keep the salsa. My grandmother would kill me – even if she isn’t with us anymore, God rest her soul,” Cruz said. “But stay tuned, I might add something.”
We’ll see what it is very soon.
