The New York Jets lost their annual preseason tilt with the New York Giants on Saturday, 26-3. There weren't many bright spots, though a few did shine through an otherwise dreadful performance. The Jets offense continues to struggle, vanilla or not. The defense is in midseason form, but will they be stuck cleaning up the mess once again this year?

Wayne Hunter is… Wayne Hunter: There really doesn't seem to be any change in Wayne Hunter. Some thought a full offseason would help him clean some stuff up, but he's just not quick enough to deal with athletic defensive ends on the edge. As a result he tries to compensate by over-kicking out of his stance and gives up the inside. He will be a major liability in pass protection once again if the Jets don't address the position. It may be too late to do so.
