In the wake of a disappointing 2011 season, the New York Jets have promised to make changes, and the upgrading of the coaching staff under head man Rex Ryan has been a top priority so far. After totally revamping their offensive coaching staff with a new offensive coordinator and new offensive line coach among other things, it appears the Jets are now looking to make changes on defense as well. Manish Mehta of the Daily News is reporting that the Jets are targeting veteran defensive line coach Karl Dunbar, who was recently let go by the Minnesota Vikings after a six-year stint over there. From 2006-2008, Minnesota’s run defense led the league three straight seasons under Dunbar’s tutelage, led by the “Williams Wall” of defensive tackles Pat and Kevin Williams up the middle.
