Mike McCarthy believes that Ryan Grant will be active for Sunday. The Packers are thin at running back with Cedric Benson, James Starks and Johnny White all either out or on injured reserve. “Frankly, where we are from a health standpoint, we might not have a choice,” said McCarthy. Grant will be behind Alex Green who will start for the Packers and is the teams leading rusher with 360 yards. Green is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry on the season. While Grant was a prominent fixture in the Packers backfield from 2007-2009 he has been injuried or ineffective since. This season with the Washington Redskins he had one carry for five yards before being released.
