Here are my picks against the spread for Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season. Baltimore Ravens (+7.5) at Denver Broncos The spread has gone down from +8 1/2 from earlier in the week. Still the Ravens are only getting slightly more respect in the Vegas line than in January. No Von Miller, and Elvis Dumervil went to the Ravens. If Peyton Manning and his Three Amigos are victorious this time around it will not be by much.  ATS PICK – Ravens New England Patriots (-9.5) at Buffalo Bills Rookie E.J. Manuel starting for the Bills is the unknown here. I did like what I saw in the preseason, and at home I’m going to say Manuel at least keeps it close against a Patriots squad who had their well-documented offseason issues.  ATS PICK – Bills Cincinnati Bengals (+3) at Chicago Bears I didn’t bother watching “Hard Knocks.” My reasoning for this pick is that I stay away from rookie coaches before their first regular season game.  I give the Bears a month before they run on all cylinders.  ATS PICK – Be...
