A few months ago, I argued on Bleacher Report that if the NFL reinstated Donte Stallworth before Michael Vick, it would have to apologize to Vick.
Not a worry. Vick’s back in the NFL and has been signed by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Stallworth, who served 30 days in jail for drinking, driving and killing someone with his vehicle, will be given lots of time to think about his mistake.
The NFL has suspended Stallworth for a year without pay.
The suspension won’t bring back Mario Reyes, but it’s nice to see that Stallworth will have to spend a year without his livelihood. I hope he’s been good with his finances and has something to live on.
Stallworth’s punishment gives me hope that perhaps a few potential drunk drivers will give more consideration to calling a cab than getting behind the wheel.
Meanwhile, my advice to Stallworth is to get lots of exercise. And, please, since you’ve already shown yourself irres...
