Universal Takeover Sports Network:
As the countdown gets closer and closer, my bones begin to tingle for this AFC West Showdown between the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers.
The Raiders will be without star running back Darren McFadden, but luckily quarterback Terrelle Pryor will be returning to the lineup after missing last week’s game due to concussion symptoms.
The Raiders defense will have a tough task trying to defend red hot Philip Rivers and the revamped San Diego Chargers offense. Rivers has thrown for 1199 yards, 11 touchdowns and only 2 int’s through the first four games of the regular season.
This should be a competitive, physical and high energy football game. I do feel like the Raiders can pull this one out if they play better as a team and establish a solid passing game. The defense will need to improve on stopping the run and pass game so the offense can feel more comfortable.
The Chargers will need a breakout performance from Rivers and company to have any shot of winning this game, especially on Defense. The defense has already given up over 1700 yards on defense.
It is fair to say the Raiders will have a upside in this one as they have proven to move the ball down the field when needed and tonight it’s needed.
Final score prediction Raiders 24 Chargers 21

It’s truly remarkable how well Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor is doing throwing the ball this season. Terrelle Pryor has completed 72.7% of his passes inside the pocket (4th in NFL) this season, ahead of Drew Brees, Matt Ryan & Aaron Rodgers — ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) October 8, 2013 Need NFL Tickets? The San Diego Chargers (2-2) head into the black hole to face their longtime AFC west rival the Oakland Raiders (1-3). You could make an argument that both teams could have a better record, the Chargers are one play in the Titans game and holding a 21 point second half lead in the opener against the Texans to being 4-0, but that’s here nor...
According to Mike Silver of the NFL Network, if free agent quarterback Josh Freeman signs with the Raiders, it will be as a starter over Terrelle Pryor.

This makes absolutely no sense to me. Freeman’s completion percentage has been...
The Oakland Raiders may want to tread lightly when it comes to Josh Freeman and Terrelle Pryor.
According to Mike Silver of the NFL Network, if Freeman does indeed signs with the Raiders, it will be as a starter over Terrelle Pryor.

Raiders running back Darren McFadden is officially listed as doubtful on the team’s injury report. That might be a shade optimistic.
While he missed a week’s practice with a hamstring injury suffered in the Washington loss that’s not what shrouds his playing status for Sunday against San Diego in pessimism. It’s what he said in his only interview of the week.
Terrelle Pryor had his first National Football League start against the San Diego Chargers on December 30th of last year. He went 13 for 28 with 150 yards two touchdowns and an interception through the air and rushed 9 times for 49 yards and another score in a close 24-21 loss.
This week Pryor takes on the Chargers again and the Raiders’ new offensive coordinator Greg Olson praised...
Running back Darren McFadden is inactive for the Oakland Raiders against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night with a hamstring injury.
The Raiders are also without starting center Stefen Wisniewski (knee) and starting right tackle Tony Pashos (groin) for the game. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor is back in the lineup after missing last week's game with a concussion.
During today’s NFL Insiders show on ESPN, former NFL general manager Bill Polian said that Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor is the most improved he’s seen lately.
“He’s improved more than any player I’ve seen,” said Polian, per Adam Schefter.
I never thought Pryor would be ready to be a starter in the NFL this season, but I was wrong. He’s done a great job of...
Terrelle Pryor and Charles Woodson turned this rare late-night start into an Oakland Raiders celebration.
Pryor threw two touchdown passes in the first quarter and Woodson tied an NFL record with his 13th defensive touchdown as the Raiders beat the San Diego Chargers 27-17 on Sunday night.

In the latest game ever played in the NFL the Raiders got a division win against the Chargers. The game started at 11:35 EST. The Chargers never seemed to get into a rhythm as they lost this one 27-17. It was a physical game between heated rivals that didn’t end until after 2 a.m. on the east coast.
The Chargers looked bad from the beginning of the game. On the opening drive of...
Under the bright lights of the O.Co Coliseum, on the latest kickoff in NFL history, the Oakland Raiders showed they were well awake to beat the San Diego Chargers, by the score of 27 to 17. According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Times, the Oakland Raiders are definitely interested in free agent quarterback Josh Freeman, but are taking their time.
The Oakland Raiders have a definite interest in Josh Freeman. Moving slowly. Cant make mistake on another QB. #mattflynn #jamarcusrussell.

Poor Matt Flynn just can’t seem to catch a break.
Following an incredible Terrelle Pryor performance resulting in a huge divisional win against the Chargers Sunday night, the Raiders have parted ways with quarterback Matt Flynn. You know how the NFL always has that doubleheader the first Monday of each season and the latter game is always a depressing contest that involves the Raiders? Well, this is just like that, only it’s starting even later. Yay, Monday Morning Insomniaball! But hey, Berman isn’t in the booth at least.Darren McFadden is inactive, meaning Terrelle Pryor will get slightly less help...
