Ex Marine Brandon O’Brien was training to make the jump from the NAIA ranks to the NFL. O’Brien who played wide receiver at Montana State University-Northern was still hopeful of achieving his dream of play professional football despite being 30-years old.
However once O’Brien heard about the attack on Boston, he felt as if life was pulling him in a different direction. According to Andy Fenelon of NFL.com, O’Brien has elected to re-enlist in the Marines.
Just like Pat Tillman decided to enlist following 9/11, O’Brien will do the same after the attacks at the Boston Marathon.
