The Carolina Panthers are expected to fire head coach Ron Rivera on “Black Monday.” Ron Rivera
Rivera, according to NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi, will certainly be fired after the season. If so, the Panthers would be looking for a new head coach and GM this off-season after their GM was fired earlier this season.
While Lombardi hasn’t cited any sources in this statement, Rivera’s job status will be questioned by Panthers management after two years on the job. His team is currently 6-9 and is currently last in the NFC South.
With a loss, his team would finish 6-10. It would be the second straight 6-10 season under River, and a 12-19 overall record.
He currently has a .387 win percentage as Panthers head coach. The Panthers started the season with a 2-8 record, but have won four out of their last five games.
The Panthers have been in very game this season, except for two early games. In Week 3 and Week 10, they got blown out by the New York Giants and the Denver Broncos.
The Panthers are currently 17th in total offense and 8th in total defense this season.
With Rivera rumored to be fired, the Panthers have been linked to Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly. He has been linked to the Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles for the past few months, as Kelly is expected to take a job in the NFL in the coming weeks.

Panthers Coach Ron Rivera Upset About Team's Pro Bowl Snub
A day after none of his players was selected for the Pro Bowl, Panthers coach Ron Rivera was still upset at the perceived snub. The Panthers were one of eight teams without a player chosen for Hawaii, and Rivera thinks his team's slow start played a part.
I'm disappointed for those guys, very much so, Rivera said Thursday. But I understand because of our circumstances...

Carolina Panthers twitter account retweets bag of weed
Sometimes you have to watch what you ask for. The Carolina Panther twitter account asked for pictures of Panthers gifts to be tweeted to them. The account retweeted several of the photos and may not have realized that they just retweeted a bag of weed. Or maybe they realized this was the best gift to help [...]
Carolina Panthers: Is L the new W?
As a Carolina Panthers fan, I’m terribly familiar with the definition of a loss. However, I do hold on to that small glimmer of hope that Cam Newton, Steve Smith and company will once again make it to the Super Bowl just like in 2004. Back then, that was Super Bowl XXXVIII. This year is Super Bowl XLVII, but what happens next year when Super Bowl ’50′ comes around?
For those...

Carolina Panthers’ Twitter Account Retweets Picture of Bag of Marijuana (Photo)
Oh, Carolina Panthers. We’d say your shade of green is more neon than the color your fans are apparently thinking of.
The Panthers do a lot of retweeting of fans on their official Twitter account. For instance, the account has spent a large part of Christmas Day retweeting the holiday messages of fans. However, they may have gone a bit too far in one instance.
Here’s where we’re...
