The Browns today activated OL Jason Pinkston from the injured reserve. Pinkston was on the half season IR, eligible to return this week. The Browns have a bye on Sunday, but made the move this week anyway.
To make room for Pinkston, the Browns waived OL Rashad Butler. Butler has been inactive on Sundays for most of the season.
Pinkston started his rookie year in 2011 at guard for the Browns. He was a starter last season before a blood clot was discovered in his lung and he was hospitalized and placed on IR.
Pinkston fought back from that condition and went into camp competing for the right guard job. He injured his ankle on the second drive of his first preseason game this year.
