The Pittsburgh Steelers have already ruled starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger out for their Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. After suffering a shoulder strain in a win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, as well as bruised ribs, Roethlisberger was doubtful to play this week. Pittsburgh has now made it official.
This will be tough for the Steelers, who will have to face the Ravens with Byron Leftwich under center in a key AFC North contest. Pittsburgh will host Baltimore on Sunday Night Football, trailing them by just one game in the division. As big as this game is, the long term health of Roethlisberger trumps the importance of one game.
