The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached a deal with restricted free agent running back LeGarrette Blount prior to the start of the 2013 NFL Free Agency period. Blount signed a one-year deal worth a reported $1.75 million for the 2013 season. Several rumors suggest that the Buccaneers are attempting to trade the power back, but will their be any suitors for him? His contract has been reported as a $1.25 million base with $350,000 reporting bonus and a $150,000 workout bonus for next season but none of his money is guaranteed. Blount’s role in Tampa’s offense has been greatly reduced with the emergence of RB Doug Martin. Blount appeared in less than 100 offensive snaps for the Buccaneers last season and had just 41 carries. While Blount is known during his time in the NFL for his highlight style runs, hurdling over defenders, he has never developed into a complete back. He still struggles with pass protection and is not very good catching the ball out of the backfield. The biggest concern re...
