With the possibility of securing a number one seed in the AFC playoffs, the Denver Broncos are expected QB Peyton Manning to play the entire game on Sunday. Typically in Manning’s career, the last game of the season was a time for the backup quarterback to make his only appearance of the season. Not this year.
Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos are planning on playing Manning for the entire game. Of course, this announcement could simply be a ploy as Denver is playing the hapless Kansas City Chiefs. With a loss to the Broncos, the Chiefs will secure the number one overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Of course, in order to secure the number one seed overall, the Broncos will need some help from Manning’s old team, the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are facing the team with the current number one seed, the Houston Texans. Of course the Texans are coming off a stunning defeat to the Minnesota Vikings last week, managing just 6 points at home.
