Call it thunder and lightning. Call it the starter and the back-up. Call it a timeshare, platoon, backfield by committee or change of pace. Call it whatever you want. All that is known is that the New York Giants said that Ahmad Bradshaw will return as the starting running back when they face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.
That means that Andre Brown will not remain in the starting backfield, despite his breakout performance in a blowout win against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football a week ago.
For fantasy football owners, that is about all the clarification I can provide at this point.
Everyone should have known that while Brown was very impressive, Bradshaw would not lose his starting job after sitting out one game due to a neck injury. It was never going to happen. With that being said, head coach Tom Coughlin did say that Brown “definitely” earned a role with his huge game last week.
How much of a role Brown earned is to be determined on Sunday....
